Our story begins in 2018, when i was a new mom. I gave birth to a little girl named Carmela with a full head of dark beautiful hair. After taking a maternity break from my career in the beauty industry i began creating hair bows for my daughter to wear, making her already cute hairstyles, even more adorable while also getting to have a creative outlet for myself. Word got around town and friends and family wanted to purchase them, thus our “Bowtique" was born. I make lots of seasonal hair bows but after becoming a mom I was soon passionate about staying on top of clean ingredients in my home. For as long as I can remember, I've been enamored with the scents that come with the change of the seasons. Apples and pumpkins in the fall, gingerbread and pine for Christmas.The list goes on. Candles were always a huge part of my sanctuary after a long day and I quickly fell in love with the process of hand pouring my own after giving it a try one day on my dining room table while my daughter slept. After that day i never looked back. The fragrances i often choose hold memories near and dear to my heart and i hope to share those special moments with you through my work. I also make lip balms, room / linen sprays, perfume, oil diffusers for your car and hair refreshers! Everything is meticulously handcrafted and exclusively made with non toxic ingredients and love. 

Why we use soy wax for our candles- 

All of the soy wax we use in our candles comes from American farms and is manufactured here in the USA! We are proud to support American farmers and use a wax that comes from our own "backyard". On top of this, we hand pour every candle. Soy wax also has a lower melting temperature than paraffin wax and therefore burns longer than most other candle waxes. 

Fragrance throw" is how we refer to the potency of the scent when the candle is burning. It can also be called "hot throw". Soy wax is loved for its gentle and present fragrance throw. Paraffin can sometimes smell artificial and overpowering in a room. Soy, on the other hand, gently fills the room with a pleasant and calming scent. 

Lastly and most importantly, it allows for a cleaner burn. Not only does this mean your soy candle will produce very little black soot or smoke like paraffin candles, thus not discoloring your furniture and walls, but this also means soy wax produces a non-toxic burn.  Because soy is a natural source, it does not increase the level of CO2 in the air.  There are also no carcinogens or pollutants.  Compared to paraffin, soy wax is much safer and healthier for your family, pets, and the environment.
